Cyclone 212 performs like a bigger welder than it really is, thanks to the powerful, yet space-saving design that is provided by the modern digital IGBT inverter construction. As both, MIG and Stick welder, our Cyclone 212 provides up to 230 Amp of MIG output while offering the capability to weld with either 8 in. (10 lbs. to 12 lbs.) or 4 in. (2 lbs.) spools of wire. And when you need it for those special Stick projects, it offers a solid 160 Amp output at 35% duty cycle, which can handle most 5/32 in. 70XX welding rods. Cyclone 212 is a new, redesigned and upgraded model of 2 of its predecessors: Poweri-MIG 200 and Poweri-MIG 230i, which had a good run and left most of their owners more than satisfied with their performances for given price values. The new display panel of Cyclone 212 is intuitively designed with both polarity reminders and a new PowerSet Function. Whenever you plug in the unit, it analyzes input voltage and automatically adjusts welder’s output and displays an input voltage reminder so you don’t forget what power level you are operating on. Polarity reminder is useful when switching between MIG and Flux-Cored welding. The Cyclone also features settings like spot weld time, inductance and burn back that allow the user to customize the unit while in manual mode. If you wish to wire weld aluminum (between 1/8 in. and 1/4 in. thick), the unit can be used with our optional SM200N-MTS spool gun. And, of course, don’t forget about 5 year parts and labor warranty.
